BUSINESS ANALYST, NOTTINGHAM (Energy and Utilities)

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Nottingham

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits

A Business Analyst is required to join an exciting, expanding utilities company in Nottingham on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must have some experience working in the Utilities industry working as a Business Analyst and ideally will have worked on complex IT projects and also understand how the wider Energy industry works.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Must have worked as a Business Analyst on Technical Projects such as Data Migrations, Software Deployment/Implementation projects

Excellent technical ability with knowledge around APIs, Data Mapping and more.

Must have client facing ability to work with partner clients

Knowledge of the Energy Industry (knowledge around Dataflows considered massively advantageous)

Must be a hands-on BA who likes to get into the detail

DESIRABLE SKILLS

* Experience implementing Utilities software or working on system implementation

* Understanding of project management methodologies eg Prince2, Waterfall, Agile, SSADM etc.

* Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Energy industry

Day to day role:

As Business Analyst, you will be assigned a wide range of projects on a daily basis. The Business Analyst must have the ability to engage various internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis to fully understand and capture the requirements, work with and also challenge clients for successful software development to match their needs, report on bugs or issues and much more. A broad understanding of how the Utilities industry works is important to the role, and solid BA experience is a must.
