Location: Dallas, TX/Stephenville, TX - Position will require an initial 3-6 weeks (depending on experience) in Stephenville, TX for knowledge transfer. After that knowledge transfer period, you will office out of a casual office space in Dallas.

Position Type: 12 Month Contract

Hourly/Salary: tBOE

Educational Requirements: Candidates MUST have a four-year degree from an accredited university to be considered.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Level 2 Security Clearance with Homeland Security


GTN Technical Staffing is seeking (2) SQL Teradata Systems Analyst for long-term contract opportunities in Dallas, TX. The Systems Analysts will join a team of Engineers in charge of data mining for the USDA. Due to a backlog of projects, we are bringing on two new Systems Analysts.

This role will be focused on data mining Teradata DW and Oracle 11g databases: running queries utilizing Teradata SQL Assistant to move back data sets, breaking down data sets with R or SAS (or old fashioned eyeballs), and creating analytics based on what you find. We need candidates with a mind for data to work independently.

We are requiring a four-year degree from an accredited university.


5+ years of experience in the following skill sets

Senior-level Data Analysis experience working with Teradata

SQL querying from scratch - Ability to independently query Teradata and perform analytics

Data warehouse modelling and analysis experience

Perform process and performance tuning

Dashboards and reporting

Data Modeling Tools

SAS Data Modeler/SAS Platform

R Statistical Computing

Document project life cycles and ensure SOX compliance

Provide production support for applications


Oracle 11g or 12g data analysis experience
